Thanks for voicing your opinion. You might be right - I observed this pattern of NOC based nomination and it pretty much matches to what you have just said. However, if they are doing this, IMO, I believe they have an obligation to put it up on their website/inform the applicants. They never made a mention about "labor market needs" anywhere on their website or the application guide (Plus, they said it is going to be FCFS). All I am saying is, if they are issuing nominations according to the labor market needs, they sure have an obligation to keep the applicants informed.

Could not agree more! Fine if they choose to do so, I even understand but they should (have) inform us.. I feel like an idiot waiting for them..

Has OINP published any occupation list ?

No, and this is precisely what makes it all the more confusing. Other provinces have such a list, but Ontario hasn't had one ( at least not in the public domain, yet).

Till the time we hear something of this sort from them officially, we can only speculate.

However, here is an idea - the next candidate that gets a verification call can get this clarified - ask the officer if NOC is a factor.

Hi All,

I have received my nomination from OINP yesterday.

My special thanks to Stanlee, DigitalDestiny, Raj, bestofluck and all the forum members for their support and guidance.

Hope all will get nomination very soon.. Good luck and all the very best!

Congratulations DreeamSRK

It seems OINP is issuing nominations to both Nov n Dec applicants simultaneously just like AOR case.

Oct 2015 applicant, received nomination yesterday, could not find Oct 2015 thread so posting here

Thanks for posting this information. There is no October thread. Could you please give us more details like Date of submission, AOR date, Additional doc request date, NOC, CEC/FSW (inland or outland)?

Thanks!

Update: Sorry - I did not realize that you were telling you get a nomination. I read the post like this - "A Oct 2015 applicant, received nomination yesterday".

Congratulations!!! Good luck and all the very best!

I think I understand what procedure is being followed to grant the nominations. Joelvetticat and I have exactly the same dates:
- FSW outland. OINP.
- Application delivered: 30th November 2015
- AOR: 6th April 2016
- Interview/Additional docs request: 7th November 2016
- Decision phase confirmation: 9th September 2016

BUT he has received the nomination two days ago (for which I am very happy and send him my congrats from here) and I am still in the apalling wait... :(

The only difference between both of us is the NOC: he is 2147 and I am 2131, which I think is what makes the difference.

I would love to see a pouring rain of nominations in the coming days, but I am realistic and I know the can not exceed the quota and they can only grant certain amount of them... It may still take a while for them to clear the backlog of pending nominations.

Good luck anyway to all of you!

Just because you have same date, to assume you haven't received nomination because of different NOC is little farfetched. There are many applicants with NOC 2171/2173/2174 who has got nomination, and Raj (senior of them) has also NOC 2174, but he is not having nomination. So I guess there are other factors which is playing role in releasing nomination.
