Hi guys, last week I sent an email to CIC enquiring about the confirmtion of my duplicate ECA delivered to them around the end of March . Strangely, I didn't get any update about that. Instead, I got such an email from them. Does it mean anything? Thanks in advance for your comments!

My timeline: FSW outland PT 25/10/15 Delivery 18/11/15 AOR 12/03/16 (no update after that).

Dear X X,

Please be advised that your application to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) has been referred to a senior processing officer for a decision. The program will contact you should we require additional information to support the decision on your application. Otherwise, the program will contact you again when a decision has been made on your application.

If you are a candidate through one of the Ontario Express Entry streams, please note that your Express Entry profile must remain up-to-date throughout all processing stages of your application. Candidate for the Ontario Human Capital Priorities stream must also continue to maintain a score of 400 points or above in the Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System.

If you are currently working or residing in Ontario, please be advised that you are responsible for remaining in legal status in Canada throughout all processing stages of your application. It is your responsibility to renew, extend or apply for proper temporary resident status in Canada throughout your stay in the country, even after you are nominated.

If you need to depart Canada because you no longer have valid status or because your status will not be renewed by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, please send our office a completed and signed Change of Personal Information form. You should outline the details of your situation in this form and include a current email address.

The Change of Personal Informationform applies to any changes that you may need to make to your application during processing, for example a change of address or other information that may impact your application.

Thank you for your interest in the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program. Please retain this letter for your records.

Sincerely,

Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program

Ministry of Citizenship, Immigration and International Trade

Government of Ontario

A large number of applicants have started getting this e-mail. Like I had already mentioned elsewhere, this could be a quality check kind of a thing or this might have been done to justify the delay in processing time. Can't be sure.

Hi guys, I need some advise on the following question. Some people have asked about it before, I just counldn't find their posts. Sorry about that.
My AOR is on Mar 12 and no nomination yet. My passport will expire on June 2017 and I am going to get a new one. What am I supposed to do after I get it?

1. update my EE profile first. Should I delete the information of the old passport, or should I still keep it there and just add the new one?

You can update the EE profile with the new PP details. The old detail can be removed. Suggest you to do this after you get AOR from OINP so that it will be easy for them to locate your file and update the detail rather than doing it before AOR.

2. inform OINP about it but how? I got an email from OINP yesterday and was told to use the form "Change of Personal Informationform" to inform them about any change and then fax it or mail it. But I learned somewhere we can just email the documents to them. Which way is right?

You can fill the "Change of Personal Information Form" and e-mail it to ontarionominee@ontario.ca.

3. As for the new passport, if I just send the email, should I scan all the pages and email it to them (I am the principal applicant.) or just the bio page? Because it is all blank.

Not required. Just scan the biographic pages of your new PP and send it to them.

Thank you very much! Wish all of you a speedy AOR or nomination.

So it probably means nothing. Sigh... :(

No. This at least means that your application is not in cold storage. Any e-mail from OINP (other than intent to refuse e-mail) should be considered as progress, IMO.

I guess mine has been shipped to Siberia then.. :'(

Well many people don't even hear back from OINP when a status update is requested. So you may consider yourself lucky if they write back :)

Nope. I am so hoping that they let out a flood of nominations and get done with.

At this stage even a trickle will be welcome!

This is frustrating. And a member posted in the other thread about her conversation with 'PL' - she has been told it could take months! :o

Question - once you get your nomination, and then you apply for the PR - what is the processing time then? About 150 days? :|

Yeah Rohit, about 150 to 180 days after you submit your application! So pretty much close to year end.
