I got PFL with respect to settlement of funds. Express entry guys pointed out that I had not provided them enough details on the PF part - whether the amount are unemcumbered / can be readily transferable. And asked me to submit fresh documents.

In reply, I have submitted updated and bank attested savings statements from my salary account, and for PF, I have sent LOE stating that the entire PF amount can be withdrawn immediately for abroad settlement under para 69(1)(c), PF scheme 1952. The LOE is notarised and attested by an advocate, as PF office these days don't provide any letters. Also, I sent updated PF statement attested by an advocate.

I am hoping this suffices, and I get nominated soon.

Let's hope that this will convince them! ;-)

Just a thought - Is there any way you can get an official document (stamped and signed) from the bank to reinforce the fact that the funds are unencumbered and readily available? If so you should consider sending that additionally to really convince them!

With my packaged I sent a bank certification letter that states all my funds are unencumbered and readily available, shortly of translating all the investment funds terms and conditions I hope this will be enough. But my case was a simple additional documents request.

Does anyone know in how much time will they get back to me with their decision after the documents are sent post PFL? I hope it is not 2-3 months.

Well, the problem is PFLs are probably only dealt with by senior (or very senior) officers, who are probably quite busy given the current backlog and number of PFLs , so I think you'll need a little patience... But from what I've seen in the past if you're convincing and properly addressed their concern (which you seem to have) then it shouldn't be too long!

Very helpful comment. I sent my application one month after you guys, and same as you I have received an unclear PFL on my FSW experience, I will try to find a lawyer to consult.

Concerns with experience are probably the worse kind as it's not entirely up to you, you depend on someone else (you boss or old boss) to write a nice enough reference letter to convince them. My advice is for you to draft a letter explaining what you've done and make sure that what you say is aligned to your NOC (just search CIC NOC XXXX)... You'll see lots of activities or responsibilities and you don't necessarily need to mention ALL of them, just focus on a few. Then get your bosses to sign the letter, if that's not possible get someone you still know at the company to sign them. In either case include the person's business card. Then for the salary include a few payslips.

If you can present this to a immigration lawyer or consultant to verify it's convincing and that would be ideal. The problem with a lawyer is that he'll probably charge you around CAD 3000 to draft your letter, this could be good but it's certainly expensive.

i got my aor last November, it's been over a year and still nothing.

Yeap... standard lawyer fees for immigration purposes tends to be around $3000... My friend moved to Alberta with ICT around 2.5 years ago... At the beginning of this year AINP opened up again and a lawyer charged him that much just to write the letter to AINP to get him into the process. I think if you search around or perhaps know someone you may be able to get fairer fees, but be prepared to hear $3000 the first time you ask.

Dear Raj and Seniors,

Glad that most of the senior members got nominated and Jan, Feb, Mar applications are showing some movement. However, I have not heard anything after AOR on 11th Aug and receipt of fresh DD on 03 Oct. On both the occasions my case manager's name/initials was not mentioned at the end of my file number.

Just now I called OINP and spoke to somebody at the front desk. When I asked about the status of my Application, she responded that it is in the Second stage of processing.

So, is my application in Decision phase currently? Or is there a stage before it? This waiting is really painful!!!! Please help me with your views.
