OINP Application sent in March 2016

Are there any reports of fresh quota allocated to OINP for 2017 on their website as I didn't find one. Is the flow of nominations restricted because of this?

I think they will release this information once they re-open their OINP program from 2017... From my table you can see that they've only nominated 225 out of 572 people, that's 39%... Still a long way to go, so I'm guessing they'll only open next year...

g126, I remember reading it somewhere on OINP website that they received over 1000 applications from January alone. Some of these applicants will be silent members on this forum. Considering all this, our nomination numbers are way off.

Well I'm using our numbers as a sample... I think we have 15-20% of the real numbers... But relatively speaking I think they hold... That is... they've only processed 39% of the applications they've received to date! Disconcerting, no?

Never fear though... I still think and hope we'll be nominated in Dec! Maybe they're doing a new system with the Feb and Mar people where they divide and conquer, so we may see a big batch of nominations soon... We can only hope! ;D

Hahaha. This cracked me up. Divide and conquer yes hopefully before Christmas this year. We have all been good and patiently waiting for Santa's gift of nomination.

The acknowledge email says - thank you for submitting the requested documents, they have bee nreceived. The application is with an OINP processing officer for assesment. The program will contact you should we require additional information to support the assesment.


There has been nothing after this. My queston is that does this mean my application is in dceision phase?

No, strictly speaking it's in the assessment phase and will move in to decision phase as soon as they finish the assement.. Join the club! A bunch of us have submitted and are now waiting... you got lucky and actually got an ACK!

You may get another request for documents if they find something strange like a large unidentified deposit, you may get a decision phase email or you may get just the Nom... wait patiently ;D

So My guess is I am in the same bucket let's hope for the best.
