Not really. When you get AOR, OINP sends a receipt for CAD 1500. This indicates that the draft has been cashed.

Correct. OINP can't / will not issue receipt unless the DD is en cashed.

hi guys,

I received AOR on 19 Aug, received my draft receipt of $1500 from OINP, and now i received mail from my home branch that my draft was not cashed because it was 6 months old. I am very confused why they sent me the receipt if my draft didn't go through and now but will happen.

please, advise.

This is normal, albeit very unlikely! You see with a Canadian bank draft they will keep you updated so long as the bank draft hasn't been cashed in, they will do this 6, 12 and 36 months after it's been issued and then every three years there onwards... So what probably happened in you case is that it hit the six month mark, the bank issued you a letter stating that the draft hasn't been cashed in, shortly after that OINP cashed it in and issued a receipt, but their email got to you before the bank's letter. If you want to be sure check the receipt's date and the date the draft was issued...

Don't worry about it! If you have the receipt from OINP it means that they have cashed in your draft and you're OK.

Guys, I'd read about this somewhere, but didn't really figure out how significant the problem was until now... Had some spare time on my hands and did some digging...

This might be old news to some (or many) but did you guys know that virtually no FSW nominations have been issued since last year?

I found out this https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wBVA84e9i-uW3SEFnrHPOECTagG4imkCUoc0SsTtukQ/edit#gid=1449150989 which seems to be a bit out of date, but having a look at similar threads to ours I found out that only one FSW nomination was issued in to one guy in the December group! From December to now I don;t think there has been a single FSW nomination issued!

This is really disheartening as I thought at least some were being issued, but as it turns out OINP are only issuing CEC nominations...

Does anyone care to hazard a guess at what this means in the long run? I mean will they eventually process the FSW applications or simply reject them all because the quota was filled with CEC applications?

I totally understand why CEC is a priority, after all they already are in Canada and paying taxes, etc... But on the other hand, I think it's REALLY unfair if OINP take an applicant's money (processing fee) and reject them based on quota, as it's their responsibility to issue the correct number and PTs and process the correct amount of people

Anyway, just wanted to blow off some steam and thought you guy would be the perfect victims

Received my AOR yesterday. But its given as they will intimate us when the file moves to Assessment phase and then to decision phase. How long does it take generally and are there chances of rejection after receiving our AOR?? Has anyone received the nomination yet?

I too had the same issue, kept following it up with them and received the AOR recently. So, i think you should send them an email asking the status every now and then.

I know at least 5 November applicants who got their nominations 2 weeks back. It is just they don't hang around this forum, but prefer to stay on local forum.

There are hardly any applicants in April and May, better stick around in this forum only.

I think we should change the name of the group to March april and may, but i doubt it can be changed now ?
