Hi there,
I have a similar doubt and I wanted to confirm what I hear from this forum and other friends.

My EE profile is expiring this Feb 6th. I received ADR (financial proofs) day before yesterday -- 26th. I sent them the same day via email. I received the confirmation email saying my documents were received and your application is proceeding for further assessment.

Between now and Feb 6th, I doubt there will be any update from the OINP. Whether or not they nominate now, there will no draw for another couple of weeks. And hence the event of profile expiry comes first before other possibilities.

So what should I do now?

As per friends and from replies in this forum (that time there was no ADR request happened), I have to sit tight, and wait till the nomination comes through. Then I create a new profile and then intimate the OINP about the new profile, and get the nomination applied to new profile and then update the new EE profile with the nomination to get the 600 points. Then whenever the next draw occurs is when my ITA will be issued.

So if I let the EE profile expire and don't create a new profile, will the CIC not question why didn't I create a new profile as soon as the old one expires?

Please suggest what I do here. Thanks,

If I were in your position I'd probably recreate my profile asap and send the details to OINP. They will probably ignore you and you'll end up receiving a NLA email, but that's better than having the headache of getting them to transfer your Nom to a new profile after you current one expires, and the chances of another draw before that happens is slim.

What is NLA? Sorry, I searched for the term and couldn't find it.

If I recreate the profile, will both the profiles be active for the next 6 days upto Feb 6th? Can you please help me understand?

Should I email them after creating my new profile and update them with the new information on the profile? or should I send them an official postal mail with the same information. Because it will take 3 to 4 days to reach, by the time it reaches, my old profile might have expired. Will that make any difference?

NLA = No Longer Available.

Once you create a new profile, you can e-mail them requesting them to update their records with your new EE profile number and job seeker validation code. You can also attach the 2 PDFs that are generated in your new EE profile in the e-mail that you are sending them.

I would also fax them the same message and attachments, just to increase the chances they notice you faster! That's what I did anyway...

I also contacted the Officer there, but received a contradictory information. The officer advised me not to do anything till the EE profile expires on its own. Then create a profile and forward them the EE profile details with the Jobcode, and old CRS and new CRS scores, etc. I was just about withdrawing the profile and create another profile but then I was lucky that I contacted the officer too.

Yes that's fine too... you can wait until it expires and then recreate. The only problem with this is, say you receive your NoM tomorrow and your profile expires before the next draw, then you'll need to send multiples emails to OINP asking them to change you nomination over to your new profile. It works, it's just a bit of a headache. But go ahead and wait, you'll be fine either way.
