OINP application fees (DD) issue

Hi everyone! I'm in process of collecting all the documents for the OINP application. I have a question regarding paying the application fees. I went to my bank (HDFC) to get 1500 Canadian dollars. However, there is some issue in the bank and they don't have Canadian dollars available at this point. So is it okay if we get the DD from other institution like Thomas Cook? Is it acceptable?

All that matters is that the DD can fetch $1,500 to OINP. It should not matter from where you are getting it.

Also, ask them regarding the validity of the DD.

DD issued from banks have 6 month validity, not sure what is the case for Thomas Cook and such.
