Hello,

I received a NOI from Ontario on August 26th, and yesterday I received my EE ITA (474). I haven't applied for OINP yet and was wondering if there is any advantage of doing so now that I have received my ITA? As I understand Ontario usually processes PNPs within 60-90 days and if they do offer me the nomination would it expedite my EE application so it wont take the stated 6 months average. (as Ontario would be doing some of the legwork verifying my information) Are there any other advantages or disadvantages that I will need to take into consideration? whats the most suitable course of action?

Thanking you in earnest for any advice provided and apologies if my concern is stupid

Just forget about OINP and focus on submitting your documents to IRCC.

Thank you for your responses. My brother who is in a similar situation already submitted for the OINP last week since he arranged his documents faster. He received his EE invite yesterday as well. What will happen to his OINP now? i believe he already made the payment of CAD 1500 for the processing of the OINP

Thank you again in advance

His profile will no longer be able for nomination when OINP are ready to nominate him so it's best to withdraw his application from them and forge ahead with IRCC.

Hi there,

First of all, many congratulations to you for getting the ITA.

See, One you get the ITA then your EE profile gets locked and the Provinces (Ontario/BC) which we select separately for sharing the information with during the profile creation, loses their access to it. So, its no more available to OINP now.

I would like to inform you that if any applicant with a score of "472 or above" have received the ITA in the recent draw, but have already submitted their OINP application(s) previously and its currently into the "Submitted" stage then they can withdraw their application(s) and get the complete money refunded.

However, Once the processing on your application is initiated and the application moves to the "Assessment" stage, then you won't get any refunds.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Nik
