I am also told by e-mail to submit additional document. My question is, do I submit the document by attaching it to the email or through the Application portal OINP that was used for the application? I am in the masters stream as well. My status is DIP. Thank you for the answers in anticipation!

Just email them back, if they don't tell you which email address to use, just reply to the email address that asks for documents. I dealt with team1@onip

They usually confirms the reception of your documents. But it can take a day for them to reply. If you don't hear back from them for a couple of days, it doesn't hurt to email them to check if there is any issue.
