OHIP WAIT TIME IS 153 DAYS?

One of the requirements for OHIP is an address proof in Ontario. So although there's no waiting period, how would a landing immigrant have an address proof to submit to Service Ontario? Anyone with an idea if there's some exception to it or any workaround?

Most people secure a permanent address rather quickly.

Why would there be a work around ? I’ve lived in Ontario for 30 plus years and I have to show proof of residency
