OHIP Under CEC

Hi Good evening guys

I have question regarding OHIP eligibility for Foreign workers

I have an extension work permit holder under CEC and work as full time

and I have been in Ontario More than 6 months.

I believe I am eligible for OHIP and question here

what should I bring in?

(1) work permit more than 6 months left

(2) job(employment letter) offer that I can prove as full time worker for next 6month

DO YOU KNOW IF THIS IS copy one or not? Does it have to be HARD ONE?

(3) money for the fee.

Please help me guys

it has to be original signed on a company letter head. you can always call them up and double check.

Once you are 180 days in Ontario, you can become a health card.
When you had one in the past, for sure you got a letter to extend your card.

Very important is to show that you are 180 days in Ontario.
You can bring bank statements, Ontario driver licence, work permit and/or employers letter, statement for your curent adress, and your passport.
Sometimes they are asking for a birth certificate. ( hapened to me)
( When you have your ON driver licence, your adress is on it)
It doesn't realy matter how long you can stay/work in Ontario, but is is important to show how long you have been here.

You will need:

1. photo id. Passport, ontario photo id or drivers licence will do
2. employment letter clearly stating you are employed full time (having 40h/week instead of full time might not work) and since when
3. proof of ontario address - utility bill or lease is preferred, bank statements will usually be accepted too

there is no fee (at least for renewal - I can't remember the first time I got it, but I don't think I've paid anything then either)
