It states here that you can renew your OHIP if you have applied for PR. (http://www.health.gov.on.ca/en/public/publications/ohip/ohip_eligibility.aspx)
They said I need to show an IMM1000 document, but according to this discussion (http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/%C3%A6your-record-of-landing-imm-1000-or-confirmation-of-permanent-residence-imm-5-t150144.0.html), the IMM1000 hasnt been used since 2002.
Has anyone succeeded in getting OHIP on implied status? What proof did you bring to show them?

I called Service Ontario today, asking what proof did I need to show them that I have applied.You may be eligible for the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) if you are included under one of the following categories:

you have submitted an application for permanent residence in Canada, and Citizenship and Immigration Canada has confirmed that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent residence in Canada ;
