On the Ontario government website it says that for the person to be eligible for OHIP, they should be a full-tine worker for 6 months in Ontario. How do I get medical coverage (which is equivalent to OHIP) for the gap period between my graduation date and the date I become Eligible for OHIP?

You’ll need to take out private insurance. Most take out travel medical insurance and have to pay for routine care. It isn’t working 6 months to qualify you must prove that you have a full-time job that will last over 6 months to qualify. Your employer will need to provide a letter indicating that your contract is over 6 months long and is full-time to qualify for OHIP. You also have to be planning on meeting the OHIP residency requirements to apply. Make ON your permanent home, be in ON for the first 5 out of 6 months and also be in ON for the first 6 out of 12 months. The 3 month waiting period is currently waived but will return at a certain point.
