Express Entry is a complicated system, and they are still making tweaks (such as the required funds and the ministerial instructions). On Twitter, they confirmed their commitment to "in January", and for all we know they may have dozens of people working around the clock to get this launch out when they said it would happen.
We are frustrated, and for many of us our futures depend on this. A single number may make the difference between a life in our home countries and a life here in Canada. It's important to remember, however, that there are real people on the other side - people who try to help the country we all seek to live in. We don't see what goes on behind the scenes, and it's entirely possible that the information they have given us is the best information they had.
