I have around 4yrs of experience in Canada with same Employer, but working under Work Permit. Planning to apply under CEC category, is it required to show offer letter for future 1yr when apply under CEC category?

Anyone please provide your insight or came through similar experience.

thanks,

Hi there, CEC is based on your past experience not future. Literally no days are going to get considered after your signed date on your application. No impact at all.

Best of luck mate,

No, having a valid job offer is not required. However, having a valid job offer does earn extra CRS points. Depending on your situation (type of work permit), just having an offer letter might not be enough.

HI;
I have question about the work history. I started my job in Canada in Dec 1st 2016 and have the contract till june 2018. In this case do I say yes or no to the following question while filling the EE profile?

Does ........ have a job offer in Canada?

The offer must:
  • be for full-time and for at least one year
  • meet different requirements depending on type of job (i.e. some need apprenticeships and certification) and
  • be non-seasonal for Federal Skilled Workers.
(required)

Information about the job offer
Is this job offer for work that is:
  • full-time
  • continuous and
  • for at least one year?
(required)

"Job offer" is for FUTURE employment (not your current job), for a period of at least one year AFTER you become a permanent resident. Depending on what kind of work permit you currently hold, there are different requirements to be eligible for CRS points for a job offer.

Without further information, the answer is "no."
