Hi, I would just like to seek some advice, my WP will soon expire on June 7 2012 and my TRV will expire next year august. Is it safe for me to still travel and take a vacation for only 3 weeks?

Yes, you can...as long as you enter before the expiration of WP.

IMO, this is also risky (if too close to the expiration of WP) because the IO at entry might question you regarding your legal status post 7th June. You should have either a positive LMO and a WP or the paperwork to prove that you have requested for an extension of stay as a Visitor (in the event of non availability of a new WP).
