Hi all,
One of my friend applied on 29th October and today on 21st November, he got his visa..it was paper application to vfs delhi

Wow thats nice did he also get any visitor acknowledgment letter before this ?!

Yes he did about 15 days back0

I applied on October 9 (online application) from India. Today is day 43. No response so far.

My conference is on November 2, and that's the only reason I have applied for visa.

I see that November 23 (Friday) is holiday in India due to 'Guru Nanak Jayanti.'

Is there any reason they approve/reject before this week ends?

I have checked on to the vfs website, there is no holiday on 23rd October, embassy is working on that day.
