Just thought to share what happened today. I did my test today at Scarborough. Passed 100% but the officer requested translations of my passports. I have two passports one expired one valid and in each there was one non-english stamp. I have to translate them and send them within 30 days together with full copies of both passports.

If you happen to have a non-english or french stamp anywhere in your passport, I suggest having them translated and keeping them with you, in case they ask.

Good luck guys

I am an October applicant waiting for the test invite until today, FINALLY! Invite received August 8, schedule for August 23rd in Montreal

I have one stamp from Egypt in my passport, should I have it translated? By whom and where? This is a bit confusing...

Congratulations.
Is the stamp indicating date of arrival/departure in non english/french language? If so, I suggest having that one page translated with affidavit. Have it with you in case they asked. It might be just my luck but why take the risk?

Thanks! I actually forgot that this trip was in 2011, so more than 5 years prior to my application. Then it shouldn't matter right?

I'd still get it translated.

Same thing happened to my friend. I already paid over 200 to translate all these stamps=(

200 dollars? How many stamps do you have?

I'd still get it translated.

Updated. Congrats!!

I've one Mexico stamp. Let's see if they ask for translation.

Edit: why would they need the stamps if cbsa shows all exits and entries?

32 stamps that are not in English or French.=)
OK that's kinda cheap actually, considering I paid 30 dollars for two stamps...

In this day and age, why can’t the officers just use the google translator app on their government-issued smartphones, point the camera to the stamp, and see the translation instantly?

I called Call Center and they told me that my application was recently (mid July) sent to the Scarborough office with status: Ready for test invite. Anybody else in the same boat? Does it mean that I should expect an invitation soon or now I am placed in the Scarborough's queue for several months?

Same here. When exactly was your file trasferred? Mine was Jul 20, but no test invite so far. I asked the agents those questions but he did not know. I try so hard not to think the file transfer is going to take a whole month again like when it was transferred from NS to Mississauga. So I do not know if it is a good thing or not. Not sure why Mississauga after 7 months with no movement just decided to send my file over to the other office.

I got same answer several months ago. Mine arrived at Scarborough on Dec 23rd, 2017. No test invitation yet.

So almost exactly a month (33 days) after my application was sent to Scarborough, I got a test invite for the exam on September 7th. There is still hope to make the whole thing in 12 months :)

I was on the edge as well. I had a Mexico stamp. Thankfully, officer didn't ask for translation.
