October applicant 2011 pls share

dear forum members

i applied in october 2011 (received CIC on 28 oct 2011)
CIO sent AOR on January 17, 2012 and mentioned they ll send my doc to visa office (SVO)
but i have n't heard anything from SVO whether they have received my application, reviewed, start process or not.
should i write them to know my application current status?
need ur valuable advice

Hi MSE77,

When you received your AOR did you get a Immigration File Number or Application Number on the letter if you did you are able to go to the CIC Website and check your status online.

Just noted on the CIC File Checker our file has commenced processing 23rd April 2012, anyone else had their file updated?

We have just received communication today from CIC requesting us to take our medicals and pay our residency fees!! Things seem to be moving, hopefully this is meaning we are past the file processing!!

Hi All,

Well its now been a week since we completed our Medicals and still waiting on the results!! Praying they come back soon and all have been passed. Anyone else had any updates?

yours MR from london visa office was really quick. some august and sept applicants from the same visa office are still waiting 4 their MR. Hope they all hear good news soon.

For all those with MR's congrats and hope they all go well, for those waiting keep the faith it surely will come through shortly.
We have had confirmation that the Medicals have been received at LVO last Thursday, we have paid the RPRF so everything is now in the hands of the Officials!!
