however my BG check status now reads:
Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.

Does this mean I am in IP1 stage and the moment it changes to "Not applicable" again , my R10 checks are over?

AOR on 24th October, still awaiting my FBI PCC but I waited until I literally had 14 days left so I had to submit.

Does anyone know if they continue processing while waiting for the PCC? Or does everything go on hold until it arrives?

Hope you provided an LOE and documents to prove you have applied for the FBI PCC? If yes, they will likely contact you and give you 60 days to submit it. Not sure if they will place your file on hold though, I believe they will continue with other parts of your application pending the time you provide the PCC.

Yeah man, all the usual stuff (receipt of postage, screenshots of e-mails, copy of fingerprint card etc.) but I also sent them PCC's from the two states that I lived in to tide them over as well. Upon e-mailing the FBI yesterday, they were still a few weeks away from opening my package so a 60 day extension on top of the 15 days I had left to submit would be a god send. Would be lovely if they continue processing while I'm waiting on it though cos everything else is there!

Haven't got any Medical update though, had got the medicals done in India before submitting the applications. The results were to go to CIC directly.
