Ah okey, depende yan kasi sa employer mo, ang alam ko upon arrival, they require truckers to take a two-week training at a place they will specify in preparation for the CDL exam. Ung na send ko sa iyo na tatlong phases ng exam un ang i take up sa training including ung winter and mountain driving. Bale sa Knowledge, on Lot, and on Road, these three phases will make up the exam that you should pass with corresponding fees. Ung gastusin sa training they will lend you money for a place to stay including meals, and it will be deducted in your payslips if you are hired, or you can pay for it in cash, CAD. If you have already a Class 1 CDL they will let you drive around town for pickups and deliveries for a certain period- say a month, that could be with a senior driver until you can be assigned alone to long haul driving that takes days over the road.

Dalawa lang kami, na pure brown-skinned blue-blooded pinoys, hehe... I guess truckers from India had a sizeable chunk of the TFW there in that category, not really sure. Kaya hingin natin kay Dear God na sana ay ma approve tayong lahat so that we can kiss the luxuriant soil of Canada and hit the road soon...8) 8)
