WOW! I was just able to download my citizenship certificate 1hr and 30 minutes after sending the signed form.

Thank you. I did not receive an instruction email. I already had access to the portal as I created a profile almost two years ago to apply for a visitor’s visa on behalf of my mother-in-law. It’s the same portal. I just logged in and selected download citizenship certificate.

I was able to login to the IRCC Portal and my Certificate was available to download right away! You have to have a sign-up invitation code from their instruction email though.

Ah okay, so it is my original IRCC portal, through which i did my parents visas and I think my own back in 2018. I was able to reset the password. thanks! I cant wait for such a long arduous process so many many years in the making to finally give way to citizenship. Most people want to leave Canada for the US, so its interesting to see that you are opting the great cold white north. Btw WHY ON EARTH IS IT SOO COLD IN ONTARIO in APRIL!!!

Ummm now is not the time to be rushing to the US. I'm glad I'm in Canada and aside from visiting and keeping an eye on my assets across the border, I have absolutely no intention of moving back any time soon.

Could you tag me if you're able to access it through your original portal account? I had to make a new one, because my old one was deactivated or something.

Does yours have the current option to download the certificate? Once you go into that link, it asks for your UCI, application #, and date of birth.
