Just had the ceremony today in Kitchener, posting here as Canadian citizen now and feels surreal to type that! The ceremony itself was well run, the presiding officer was very positive and kind. Took about 2 hours end to end. Everybody got the paper certificate, regardless of what you had opted (I personally was very happy and in fact preferred that). They also asked to wait about 3 days before applying for passport so we're "in the system".
congrats
can you please share your timeline

Any applicant waiting for their oath email from either Montreal or Vancouver office?
looked at all the past threads and seems like these two office are the slowest one to send oath invite. Some people have been waiting for more than 4 months now.
Yes still waiting more than 38 days here in Vancouver. Very frustrating!

Yesterday I compiled some stats from the tracker spreadsheet for all applications submitted in Sep-Nov, to get an idea of the time between LPP completion and Oath email (regardless of processing office). Out of 45 applications with this info entered, the average wait time was about 16 days, with the shortest being 1-2 days and the longest 45-54 days. An additional 7 applications with LPP completed in Dec-Jan have yet to receive an Oath email, and 16 applications with LPP completed in Feb have yet to receive an Oath email (as of Mar 9). So wait times >30 days are certainly longer than average, but definitely do occur. Still, this is little consolation for those of us who have been waiting so long!

That's going to vary based on the primary office doing the processing and then the events office doing the oath scheduling. It's hard to know anything for sure based on the spreadsheet. I wish the spreadsheet captured the primary office and the events office of the applicants. You can probably assume the events office based on the city of the applicant, but we clearly cannot know the primary office. I applied from Calgary and it was transferred to Vancouver for processing.

It seems like they're doing most of the processing out of fewer, larger offices now, rather than it being spread around.

Is a long delay between LPP completion and Oath email always due to the particular situation (backlog, length of queue, etc.) at the primary processing and events offices? Or could it be due to some problem with the application itself? I'm assuming that if LPP and everything else are complete, then all that remains is scheduling the Oath, but maybe that's not the case?

I don't think we have a way to know. After LPP complete, someone has to transfer it to the events office. Maybe that happens immediately or maybe not? And then it has to get scheduled by the events office.

Sadly on my wife's we've had no LPP updates at all since Feb 18 when her test was marked completed (no fingerprint request for her).

Hey, please let me know if you get any link to download e-certificate as well even after getting physical certificate in-hand during ceremony? Thanks
My ceremony is virtual. I will receive an e-certificate. You don’t ever get both.
