You can call them and ask at what stage is your application pending....and subsequently ask whether they are waiting for any report from any department , agency, or anything pending at your end, e.g. finger prints etc, whther they asked anything from me and I didn't got the update or info,....so just try to ask them and lets see....if they can come up with any info.

...Oath done. Thank you so much all. You all have been wonderful. My application was with SCR office. Waiting for citizenship certificate and passport application.
Applying for passport seems to be an expense that IRCC should do away with. They request us to cut the PR card (travel document for us) in 4 pieces - well ideally they should be providing with a new passport (new travel document) within the same application (and in the same cost as well).

Congratulations. How long was the oath-taking ceremony. Is it really 2.5 hrs long as they say in the instructions pdf. Moreover, do update us how long it took for your citiczenship certificate available for download ? By the way, I agree with you that they shouldn't ask for PR to be cut. We can continue using it until expiry. It can exist on its own capacity.
It got over in 1.5 hours. I am still waiting for citizenship certificate - may be I will get an email notification once it is uploaded?
I am writing an email to my local MP advising him of this proposal. It is understood they would have to cut PR card - but in replacement they have to provide another travel document in the same fees!
But thing is I don't know how many years were pending on your PR card, but for passport you many wanna get 5 years expiry or with 10 years expiry, so different fees for different duration.
