i saw that most applicant of october are applying on paper...
guys it's really not worth it.

paper you have to pay extra printing fees+ postal fees+ it's more complex.

and online now it's only around 10 month processing time.

You might want to read the following:
1. ATIP notes for departmental plan FY 2022-23: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/ircc-2022-2023-plans-atip.777863/
2. Steven Meurrens's 2021 IRCC presentation/ATIP notes for e-app plans: 3. Progression of cases in the spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_KE3Bu3C3gOyEm0mRVcJH9nEA2u2GOhfpUZOckOWmN0/edit?usp=sharing
Note: In the spreadsheet the ID's that are underlined and italicised are online applications. However, we have very few data points every month given that they receive thousands of applications per month.

I do not wish to influence your decision either way... So, based on the above you can make your own decision to apply on paper or online. Do NOT apply both ways.

thanks for those links and info, but curious to know what would your choice be and the reason.

I haven't made that decision yet. I am waiting on an FBI police clearance report and will apply end of next month. I'll make that decision closer to my application date

I applied online as now they accept group applications. I have read in previous threads that online applications have certain threshold per month on how many they can process per month (around 5%), but I believe that will drastically change because they opened group applications recently so should increase the threshold too.

Also deciding factor for me was, ease of process. I am in no rush and can wait if online application is delayed.

Do you know what advantage is there to applying as a group? I see they allow friends, neighbours also to be part of the same group.

I have applied for ATIP notes to see their staffing levels, notional decision targets, inventory, business continuity plan, and progress for June through September 2022. Let's see what they have to say

Some information from website:
If you applied as a group, we’ll process everyone’s applications together.
This means that all applications go through every stage of our review at the same time. We’ll still review each person’s application individually.

This does not always mean that everyone becomes a citizen at the same time. For example, some people may pass the citizenship test the first time while others must retake it. In this case
  • some group members can become citizens earlier than others, but
  • we’ll ask you if you want to pause the processing (so everyone can attend the same citizenship ceremony)

I applied as group because other applicant is spouse. I want both applications to be processed together.
