Got "In Progress" in ECAS today. Any ideas when to expect a test invite?

Mostly, June applicants are getting Test Invite, and also a few early July applicants are also getting invites.. (as per the tracking sheet)

Hi All,
I applied for citizenship for my wife Oct 2021. Few days back received an email saying
“Your application was created in our system on December 10, 2021 and is currently in progress.

You can now follow the progress of your application with our Citizenship Application Tracker.”

To create an account, I need the Application Number that I have not received neither in an email, not hard copy. This email doesn’t say the Application number either.

what should be done?

Everything goes through case processing center in Sydney by default , even the application that you mail goes here
Not exactly the office that will be processing your file here onwards ( after AOR )

It has to cover the 'whole' 5 year duration period. The Criminal record check(s) can also be 'longer' than the 5 year duration period. However IRCC will not accept any criminal Record Check(s) that are 'shorter' than the 5 year period (even if its short by 1 day).

Sorry, i might have not explained properly. My criminal records cover the 5 years, but they are 14 days short. I got my police record and 14 days later left China. I mean, how strict are they? I mean, if you are getting a police record before you leave the country, you cannot get it exactly on your way out to the airport


Anybody know if it is that strict?

Yes they are that strict, missing even 1 day can mean a rejected application. In practice IRCC typically expects applicants to get a PCC following departure from the country. In that way the entire time period is accounted for in the PCC. To the IRCC's way of thinking any day that is missing from the PCC and 5 year validity period is a day or day(s) that a criminal or civil offence could have been committed. Not saying this applies in this case just illustrating the processing factors taken into consideration by the IRCC.

Saw another update this morning
Last updated Jan 25th but no change.

For wife and son: last updated Jan 25th and I see that their Background checks completed.

i noticed a similar update too. Had my AOR in 24 Dec and in 24 Jan, I see that our BG status says completed.

I submitted my online application Oct 29, 2021 today I received an email indicating Missing information or documents. When I sign into my account it’s indicates that they were unable to confirm my time out of Canada before my PR. That would be April 2017 thru Oct 2018 while I was under visitor status awaiting PR submitted Inland. I’m from the US ( VISA exempt) all of the dates on my physical presence calculator file are correct. I can’t figure out what they want anyone have any idea? Temporary status 273.5 days credit, total physical presence 1105 days

I and my wife have been able to register on tracker to see the status of our application but i can't register my 2 kids on tracker. It keeps telling me incorrect UCI or Application number. At a time, i thought maybe kids application are not viewed on tracker that is why i can't register them on tracker. I and my wife had no problem at all registering on tracker.

My question , is this normal? Is the tracker only for adults?

All the applications would be available on tracker. Wait for a day or two

Tracker is for Kids too.
I have a kid and has got the tracker.

Not sure what you have to do. If I were you I would contact them.

My submitted two applications are for minors only. I can register and use trackers for them after 12 hours getting AORs.

I got another reminder email today to follow the progress of my application with citizenship application tracker.

I also received this reminder on 18th Jan exactly 1 week ago around the same time. ~1pm.

Has anyone else received more than 1 reminder email? Even after you have created an account?
