Yes, it is if they submitted their applications individually rather than as a single family unit (like the poster pointed out). The "single" here refers to application not marital status. A lot of people have tried this approach with no issue whatsoever.

Application sent on Oct 11 2021, received a email from IRCC that says we are reviewing your application and will let you know if any documentation is needed. A UCI and application number is created. Is this AOR confirmation?

Received AOR this morning.Delighted to be back on one of the best & most active forums...
I've just submitted my citizenship application - hoping that we all cross this final journey of immigration in a timely manner.

I just received an email saying my application is in progress:

Dear Client,
Thank you for submitting your application for a grant of Canadian citizenship. Your application was created in our system on December 22, 2021 and is currently in progress.
You can now follow the progress of your application with our Citizenship Application Tracker.
However I didn't receive any AOR email so I have no idea what my UCI and application number are. Is this normal? Should I contact IRCC or just wait for my AOR email?

Just received the same Email, however I received my AOR on 30th December 2021. Unsure what this means.

Lol your application is in progress. Do you want to go back to AOR and then wait for it to get in progress? You are one step ahead of AOR.
Also how come you are not aware about your UCI? How can you even apply without one? Is on your pr card
Then please tell me how I can get my application number without an AOR email?
Possibly a system glitch with email trigger but if you see the status in your account is updated, then you are good I guess.
But he/she/they can't access the account unless he/she/they has/have an application number that usually comes with AOR which he/she/they doesn't/don't have.
@oneoneone, your best bet is to call the helpline and they should be able to help you. Few applicants have reported the same problem in the past and were able to get it sorted by calling the IRCC helpline. Hope that helps.
