October applicants let's meet here! Feels good to be back to this forum after few years ;)

Application type: Online
Location: Vancouver, BC
Physical presence:1391 days
Application: Single
Application sent: Oct 1st, 2021
Application received: Oct 1st, 2021

I am preparing my application and will be able to submit it around the 2nd or 3rd week of October. Still haven't decided on whether to take the online or paper route. Any idea which is better?

Correcting the location;

It states on the screening page of online application that if the applicant online the following condition must be met. Can anyone please explain?

https://citapply-citdemande.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/screening

"Make sure the end date of your physical presence is 1 day before you submit your application".

Does it mean that if I apply on lets say 15th of October, my physical calculator must be calculated until 14th of October?

My guess is yes. Since they want the physical presence calculation to be as accurate as can be. On another note, I think an application should be signed a day after one's physical presence calculation ends. Hence why when filling the PPC It asks for when you intend to sign the application so it can accurately determine your PPC end date and indicates that as at the time of submission, you in fact meet the eligibility criteria regarding total days present in Canada before applying. Hope this clarifies that?

Just thought to check, has the process picked up speed recently based on the recent responses of previous months? Do we expect fast AORs?

Hello everyone,
feels wonderful to be back on this forum :). Hope everyone is doing well.
I will be eligible to apply for citizenship by the end of October Yay:D! I came to Canada in October 2018.
I got a question relating the application, specifically the question about taxes.
"Tell us when you filed taxes...
Obviously I filed taxes in Canada for 2018, 2019 and 2020. But not for 2017 and 2016. In my home country we are not required to file taxes so I haven't filed any. Should I live those boxes blank?
TIA
