I had BG completed on 4th May and since then no updates. My wife had DM on 12th May, but then no update for her too

Hi, congratulations on your status update. For me and my wife status is completed for all except ceremony. However, for our kid, everything is in progress since application submission (no updates since AOR). Do we need to do anything? Any suggestions? Thank you.

I guess not, I read in this forum somewhere for kids, status will be updated to completed once the oath ceremony and citizenship process is closed for adults, its normal that kids statuses don't get as frequently as adult but rest assured once parents application process is completed, kids status will also reflect the same

Thank you for the update. So kids would also receive Oath invitation along with parents and no need to worry about their application status. That's a relief. Thank you. All the best to everyone.

yes , if both the parents application statuses are "Decision Made", kids will get the oath invite along with the parents, if one of the parents application still not "Decision Made" except for them , rest will get oath invite.

Note: I started asking for the GCMS notes every Friday since my BG was completed. That is a tip I got from my friends from college that they got their citizenship in less than six months. I didn't believe that it would work, and it seems that it did. They told me that the immigration officer or case processing agent needs to check your file before sending the GCMS notes, and if everything is done, they need to make a decision. They can not take any retaliation for asking for the GCMS notes; it is a right we have as Canadian Permanent Residents. I know that you can even ask for these notes every day, but that would be pointless.

How long did it take for your gcms notes to arrive?

I requested mine in April and got an email with the temporary request tracking number. The email said they'll send the new number once request is registered. This has yet to happen even after 40 days.
