Your oath is on August 10 and you are going to US on August 12.

So is the issue that you won't have PR card to return?

Are you able to return by land. Because you can return just using your home country passport and a provincial ID such as driver's licence.

I would avoid rescheduling oath if I could, but then again, if you have to fly (can't drive) you may have no other choice...

Note - You can request an expedite on your citizenship cert, but I doubt it would come in a day, and you don't need it for travelling by land.
Yes, PR card is the issue.

Thanks for the tip. I can fly to Buffalo and drive in from there. CBSA website says drivers license is acceptable to denote identity and citizenship. This should work. Thanks again!

AOR: 14 December 2021

Test complete: 27 June 2022

Got a ghost update on 28th July 2022 but nothing has changed so far. No email, no account update. Does anyone know what the ghost update might be for? File transfer to another office or something else?

Hey guys my tracker was updated today: citizenship test request and finger prints. YAYYY. I have not received the email yet. Can I do the fingerprints without the email?
So happy for you. Sorry for late reply to celebrate along. I was traveling and I didn't get a chance to hop in here. Finally it's scheduled for you.

I feel your pain mafriend! Who would have thought, after years of waiting for my citizenship and now that I am in the very last stage (waiting for my oath ceremony to be scheduled), I am now hoping this last part is delayed. I have a trip to meet up with my family in the states during the last week of September, and even though it is an option to cross the border by car without a passport, financially makes absolutely no sense (not to mention that I don’t have the time to add an extra two days to my trip) So, as things stand now, I am just hoping the process is delayed a bit longer and my ceremony is not scheduled until October (very unlikely as per the trends that I am seeing) … it does pisses me off that, this process should not have been delayed this long… by now I should have had everything ready for months! Oh well, it is what it is.
