I saw posts that some applicants did completed test already.
It will be interesting to see the progress of these few applicants that have completed their tests.
I was wondering if the rest of the process (i.e. criminality, language, security, and residency) will be as fast. It could very well be that the online process gets the tests over with at the beginning of the process rather than at its end. Since the test have no effect on the rest of the process, it would just mean that IRCC will continue to verify the rest of the application and make a decision quicker. Getting a test invite may not necessarily mean that the rest of the process is complete.
A similar thing happened when Express Entry was started. If I remember correctly, in the older paper based system, medicals were requested at the end of the PR application process, but when EE started, then medicals were requested when applying.
I believe that this is just IRCC testing a more streamlined way to run the citizenship applications and I hope that this will soon benefit all applications.
