October 2020 - Citizenship Applicants

Hi members,
I sent my first application without filling the UCI number on October 2020, but IRCC was nice and sent me the AOR last Friday. I sent in the second application, hopefully they will just disregard that one.

Physical presence days: 1096
App sent date: 10/15/2020
App delivered date: 10/19/2020
AOR: 01/22/2021

I got AOR but still cannot use that information to check status online. Anyone has the same problem ? Tried all different ways to enter my name and UCI number and DOB, but it keeps saying We were not able to identify you using the information you provided

If you are trying to check/link your application to your IRCC account and your application was paper application then this won't work. they clearly say:

Paper applications for proof of citizenship and search of citizenship records cannot be linked at this time.

But using the ecas page "https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do?app=ecas&lang=en" you should be able to check your application status just with your UCI

Shouldn't your ECAS update in that case?

For me yes, ECAS was updated on Jan. 7 only. And after the call with the agent, they sent me an email with general information on where to find resources but that was not an AOR email. I never received an AOR email, just status "Received" on ECAS and since I now have the application number so no need really for an AOR.

I submitted my application via mail on 19th Oct 2020. I have not received any AOR or any confirmation that they have opened my application, is it normal ???

I have a similar question, my wife's application was delivered on 9th October but haven't received any AOR yet.
I know this may be too early but can the GCMS notes be ordered in such a case to check if they have recieved the application and working on it?

Thanks for the response engray, but the ECAS can only be checked once you receive your AOR which has the application number, without which I don't think you can access your application online.
I was wondering if there is a way by which I can check if the application has been recieved at their end by calling their helpline or ordering GCMS notes.
The postal tracking showed it was delivered but I have seen cases where even after that the application can be misplaced.

Not in all cases. I didn't receive any AOR email but my status changed online on ECAS an it shows that my application was received on Oct. 7 (sent Oct 5).

The IRCC agent - on a phone call - also confirmed the status of my application and gave me the application No.

Check your application status on line here https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do?lang=en using your UCI.

They have not sent AOR emails for everyone but it does not mean that your application has not gone into the system.

Just got my AOR via email this morning.

App delivered on October 21 2020. AOR January 25 2021.

My app received on Oct 5th, got the app number from CIC agent , waiting for AOR email, they told it is in Queue. Not sure, by when I would receive it.
