October 2020 application, but heard nothing?

So I submitted my citizenship application in October 2020, but so far all I have received was the original submission notification in October 2020. Does anybody know whether I can chase the application or the current lead times for hearing anything. I am based in the UK.

As usual, no standard processing timeline across various offices. Also there is no standard processing timeline among officers in same office.
So all sorts of permutations and combinations with officers and offices.

It doesnt matter where you are based at, it matters if you are lucky to get your file gets through fast. till then keep checking the status, nothing much you can do.

Is your background check complete?If not then some delay there. if complete then officer is yet to look at your file for test invite.

I wasn't aware you could check the status? I had to send in a completed paper application form and supporting documentation.
