Hi! Yea I believe it’s a standard format and someone on here (I don’t remember who) explained that they ask for it cause they need a more recent picture to make the card.

@rv8089 Correct, someone told me (which I have been repeating, LOL) that the PR card photo needs to be newer than 6 months old, thus the request for a new photo. Note that you *MAY* only need one (it'll say in your COPR letter), but many places take them in sets of 2. I did not send the second photo in.

Hey!! Sooooo,I assume you’ve mailed your photo for your card? We are both in Ottawa, here’s hoping the cards come in no time! ☺

I know! I sent it off the day after I received COPR, and linked it the day after that. If it comes within a month, I'll be ecstatic!

Hey, my letter said I needed 2 photos, how come you only got asked for one? where did you apply from?

That's weird--my COPR letter definitely said 1 photo (I checked because you got me nervous :p);

Please print a copy of this letter and send it along with one photo that meets our photo specifications to the address listed above.

I applied from Ottawa, Ontario. In the PR application I sent 2, though.

I can confirm that my letter only asked for one photo as well. That was Ottawa IRCC. I put both in the envelope anyways. I have no need for the second one and if they don’t want it they can just throw it out ;-)

FYI: To all October applicants--my husband (sponsor) just received the $85 biometrics fee refund today (3 days after I received COPR).

I know some of you said that this was mentioned in one of your IRCC letters (AIP? COPR?), but it was never in any of mine, so I wondered if it would actually happen, but rest assured it did.

Oh ok, maybe it changes from office to office or applications, I think I sent 2 with my application and the sentence in my letter says exactly the same but "two" instead of one, who knows. Did you get your SIN already? remember to update the health card from your province so they send you a new one with no expiration day, I just had to take the COPR letter to one of the Registries and they updated it for free (Alberta), it took about 8 days to get it in the mail. Banks also need your new SIN and you'll be able to open a tax free savings account and a retirement fund, oh and get a decent credit card :D

I have applied for SIN online, and am waiting for it to come. I am definitely using it to expand my banking portfolio and I already know which credit card I want to apply for, LOL!

Also got my health insurance with my COPR letter, hooray! That was a long wait since I never did get that OWP. :mad:

Did IRCC write this in your request for medicals letter?

It may not be separate blood work that you have to give; normally Hepatitis is not screened for in the immigration blood test, but this may be an add-on service that the lab must do in your case. Just follow the instructions in the letter.
