No problems , However during the time of oath, will they say if my son is included in the application or not ? Because if they don't then I don't want to cut my son's PR card without any reason
I think you do have to check in and there is an attendance list...but not sure. There are still a few users around the forum who already went through their oath ceremonies. Maybe they can share a bit more of their experiences.

If he is not invited, then he cannot take the oath, and thus his PR card will remain until his oath is scheduled. Having said this, it's absurd not to include him with you, even if applications were sent separately. Send a webform stating that you wish your son to take the oath with you (with these words so they don't reschedule your oath, but for them to schedule your son's oath with you) to celebrate this joyous moment together fully and at once. He is minor, which means he is waived from the test and language requirements. There shouldn't be anything that prevents them from scheduling him with you. It would be heartless for them not to include him with you in the oath. I saw married couples changing oath dates to take it together, and IRCC responded positively.

Thank you for your reply. I called IRCC today as they mentioned that since it was submitted separately and they asked me to wait for his citizenship approval. He also asked me to go ahead with my ceremony and wait for his approval. But they confirmed that his file is linked to mine. I can send a webform but don’t want to take any chances of rescheduling my oath.

I am Oct 2019 applicant and passed test on March 18, 2021. Then received 2nd FP request in May, 2021 and background check was completed on July 8, 2021. Language, other prohibitions were marked as complete on Sep 22, 2021.
I emailed London office on Wednesday enquiring about an update on my oath schedule. I received a response today that they are processing applications based on test date. Unsure if anyone who passed test after me is already a citizen or their response was just full of complete b shit.

The different responses applicants get tell you either they try to cover something, or they actually don't know anything. I am leaning for the latter. IRCC is in a complete mess. I finished the test in April, and still waiting for the oath. Someone finished the test in Sept already got the oath. Definitely it's not true it depends on the test date or even the DM date. Someone got DM on Nov 1st, and in a couple of days scheduled for the oath. I got DM on August. And we are in the same office, and both normal processing. It all boils down to the officer. How they feel and what their dominant moods are.

Also, since he is a minor, he doesn't need to take the oath

i woke up this morning to a nice surprise...everything has been marked as "completed" for me in the citizenship tracker (language test, physical presence, citizenship test, background verifications and prohibitions) as of nov 18 and citizenship ceremony says "not started"....the old tracker also says "decision made"

i submitted my application in oct 27 2019 and completed my test on july 5, 2021 for further details

based on experience, does anyone have an idea on when citizenship ceremony will be approximately scheduled based on these timelines?

Outliers exist in this case but anywhere between 2 and 6 months.

Hey guys - i received my GCMS notes today - Can someone pls help me understand (if you have reviewed the notes before) which section/location should we referring to in order to understand the status/reasons for being stuck some where in the process etc., I have identified few locations
1) Under Assessments section - All categories are mentioned as Passed (i think this is same as Completed in our tracker application) - In addition, there is "Final: Granted", "Oath: Not Started" - Does this mean a decision is made on the file (Status in my tracker is "In-progress" - it's not "Decision-made" yet)
2) Under Notes section - There is a message that my app meets 5(1)d and 5(1)e (not sure what these sections are and whether i need to worry about :)), clearances are valid, no adverse info and finally "In accordance to CAN laws & regulations......Canadian citizenship is granted"

Couldn't find any info on why the wait/delay - looks like wait is a standard thing for Mississauga...so notes doesn't show that :)...any thoughts pls - thanks in-advance

On the new tracker, the file will remain in progress until after the oath. The old system ecas must show decision made for you, though. But yes, your file has been approved and you are just waiting for the oath. Nothing to worry about. Everything seems fine.
