You need to translate all the stamps but dont worry you can do it easily and its not very costly at all. I have paid $105 for myself and my husband for 30+ stamps and couple of visas. I have used Docbase. It took 1 week.
Order@docsbase.ca
I have found them the most reasonable.

Do I need to translate all stamps or just those for the period they are asking me for? For instance, my passport is from 2011-2021, but they are only asking for dates from 2014-2019. And only those that are not in the Latin alphabet?
Get full passport translation to avoid any delay in your application.

I've been in limbo too. The last update was July 1st for test completed, everything else remains in progress - not including the oath ceremony which is not started. I'm thinking of emailing my the Immigration Minister, Marco Mendocino and my local MP - I think we should all do that. It's getting ridiculous that they are using the pandemic as a crutch. My application couldn't be any more simple if I tried. I have lived in Canada for 40+ years, raised here, schooled here - never left except for vacation.

My local MP told me that they only deal with urgent cases lol

Woah, Thanks to everyone for the responses, hopefully, Mississauga will start moving soon.
Finger cross anyways.

So here we are, October 2021. This makes it 2 years. Unbelievable.

Are we seeing any increase in updates for us?

On the other hand many late 2020 applicants are already citizens before the one year mark on their files!!
Getting pretty tired of this ish.

My Dad is in his 70s and has several co-morbidities. I expect any day now to get the call to head to England to see him on his deathbed with a ventilator. When I last saw him we weren't talking (and still aren't now) because we had a fight on my mum's funeral about how he felt I abandoned them to come to Canada. Everybody was stressed then, pre-Covid.

I don't have a PR card, it expired a few months ago waiting for my citizenship. And now we are being ignored even that. Everyday I'm flicking between terror, anger and grieving. I can't go near Facebook or twitter because I start to spiral in to a panic attack. I sometimes browse Reddit with caution. I can't hack this.

What are our options, if any?

There's a Facebook group for people left behind but my application doesn't happen to be in the correct stage of the process for me to 'qualify'. Although I doubt they can be of much use.

I'm sorry to hear that. You can apply for urgent processing for your PR card, make sure to write Urgent on the envelop and add a letter of explanation with medical reports if you have them.

Hello, everyone.

I had not participated in the forum before, but I am in the same boat as all of you.
I can understand and share your frustration at the seemingly random and unfair case system at IRCC. In the spring, I tried contacting my MP, and their team tried to be as helpful as possible, even contacting Minister Mendicino's office. Unfortunately, my MP is on the way out (Jody Wilson Raybould) and I do not think I will be able to count on the new MP taking office to be of any help for the first few months as they transition to their new job.

With fewer and fewer options left for us, I am considering contacting the CBC to see if they would run a story on this (as they have done in the past). I was wondering if any of you would be down to pursue this and share your stories. Technically, the Liberals ran on a platform committing to deal with older files affected by the pandemic within 12 months, they better deliver (but we all know all they care about is hitting their immigration stats for new PRs)...

In any case, let me know if anyone is interested.

Here is my timeline

New test invite: July 16th 2021
Test window: July 30th-August 21st 2021
Test passed: July 30th 2021 (20/20)
Test tracker updated to complete: August 2nd 2021
Passport pages request (MTL office): August 19th 2021
Passport pages request (again.... WTF, Surrey Office): September 8th 2021

Prohibitions, physical presence, language still in progress.
So much for their "we'll prioritize tests for people who had their tests cancelled in 2020"....

As an additional anecdote, i had a very unpleasant experience with an agent on the phone in June 2021, trying to get any information I could about my file. I told the agent that many of us would be understanding of the circumstances if we actually new what was going on. The agent was clearly annoyed at my question, and very dryly asked "what else would you like to know", to which I replied "well, can you at least tell me if there is any agent currently assigned to or working on my file?", "There is none..." , "Well, see that is information that we would like to know". His final reply just left me speechless at the total lack of empathy and politeness. They said "Well, that is just your personal opinion, and it is not priority that is shared by others".

Hope everyone has a good day,

Mine contacted IRCC, but her team didn’t get anything more than I already knew.
Not sure why IRCC are doing this to us... is that because our applications are paper based?
