Good luck with the interview.

Quick question: Since you got a request for copies of passport, did you had large travel entries in and out of Canada as a PR?

Thanks.

I don't live in Vancouver but my visa office is the Vancouver IRCC. It seems to be moving - I received my online test invitation via email.

Actually, no. We didn’t leave Canada once since we landed in 2016. We completed our residency requirements with one long stretch. Nevertheless, we added a short 1 week tourist trip to Canada we did in 2014 (counted as half a day for each day according to IRCC rules) in our form since that fell within the last 5 years from application. Thoughts?

All the very best !!! Do share interview experience.

My office is also Scarborough. I did test on 23 Jan so more or less I will have some update this coming week or the next week. We did soft landing for the purpose of becoming PR and that was the only trip we did. We permnanetly moved within 2 months of the soft landing and since then no travel. When I submitted citizenship application for myself and family, I already attached copies of passport clearly showing entry and exit stamps for each of us. I did cover letter for each application providing a high level overview of the application, travel history ,reason. Then the recent of the documentation followed. It was like a booklet....

Anyways let's see what comes next.

My thoughts (sorry I missed this)and I could be off the line here and others may not agree, but here are my thoughts:

Since most of the test candidates are directly moving to decision made and Oath, IRCC is probably picking some random cases to check and verify travel details again. It is a random check and since you have completed residency requirements in a stretch, I dont believe there are any flags. My gut feeling of possible question would be around your tourist trip and what made you think of applying for PR (proud moment?). Perhaps that is it.

When you submit your document: make sure to put it with a cover letter explaining the tourist trip and what you did, where you stayed (no need to provide any supporting documents). In my opinion, your only supporting document will be :

1- entry and exit stamps for you and each applicant
2- bio page of that passport (if there is a new passport then attach biopage of that passport too)
3- flight ticket (check in details - perhaps your email would have it) and hotel stay (if you have, if not provide a name of hotel and address)
4- (you may want to do this - if I were you, I would do this): attach all pages of current, last passport to show that there are no other travels in and out of Canada. My reason for doing this : IRCC may want to check with CBSA and that can be time consuming, so better provide them information upfront. There is always a discretion invovled , but full disclosure helps.

That's all I can think of. Others may add.

All the very best.
