Does anyone know if application was returned because of the signature and date. How long will it take after application is resubmitted?

I had a quick question. I traveled to Canada a few years ago from the US on a visitor visa for a holiday with my family to hang out with a few extended family members and friends.

We arrived by car on the night of the 20th of August and went back on the evening of the 26th.

Would the 6 days (August 21 to August 26) count as half days towards the 1,095 day physical presence requirement?

I am sorry to tell you this but submitting your reply will take the same length of time to get an AOR as someone submitting for the first time at that period.

i believe that visitor visa counts as half day as long as its in your eligibility period. My husband stayed here in canada for more than 6 months as tourist but was counted, too.

You are not alone. My application was delivered on Oct 3rd and I haven’t received my AOR yet. I guess they are randomly picking applications or ours got mixed up.

Some guy in the November thread already got their AOR too, so that’s even flukier. I left Canada several times during my eligibility, so travel wasn’t a factor, just random luck. You early October people should get it in the next two weeks.

If application was returned because it was incomplete ( forgot a signature) and they specifically asked me to resubmit a new application and a new physical presence calculator sheet - do I change the date on the calculator sheet (the date of application )?

I would recommend calling CIC on this matter. The officers will give you the best advice and they are very helpful.

AOR: Dec 31st 2019
