I'm not concerned or anything I just want to know if somebody here had their passport's pages submitted and what is it for. Or what's gonna happen next. It's just that my co-worker was bugging me about my status coz she told me that right after her exam everything was "completed" on her status and just waiting for oath invite..

And also, I am compliant. As soon as I receive emails from them, I comply right away. And I know it takes some time coz my application's been sleeping for more than a year.

I'm just asking out of curiousity the reason for the passport pages and what is it for.

Hi there. If you check the thread, there are several posts about this. It’s very common for them to request passports. IRCC won’t say what it’s for, but it’s likely for physical presence, IMO.
if you have stamps that are not in English nor French, you may need a certified translation as well.

Have your fingerprints reached IRCC and uploaded to your online tracker status?

I was about to say no. As i got tried to checking online status and nothing happened. But lo and behold. Actually my Background Verification got completed yesterday. - 5 July 2021
I was even more surprised because RCMP did not even reply to my status check email.

Anyways. On to next step or next year 3rd FP request lets see.

It’s pretty much SOP. Before the online tests, etc. EVERYONE had to show their passports to an officer after the in-person tests. Now it’s just done remotely.

Essentially it’s for identity and physical presence validation.

Its the 2nd fingerprint request, first one was back in Jan 2020 and My Background verification status was showing as completed until yesterday, now its changed back to In Progress.

Wondering what's the average duration to process 2nd fingerprints. Any idea?

Can't give a timeframe as it varies from case to case. But it shouldn't take too long IMO.

It should be nothing special if they asked for the passport pages. Maybe they randomly pick some people to check that.
My test status was also updated two days after I took test, but since then I have been waiting over 2 months and there are no updates. I hope that our cases get resolved soon. Good luck.

For me RCMP took 10 days to process and mail.
and from there 35 days for IRCC to mark background check completed.

So i guess it takes now 30 to 60 days for usual application.

Just want to complain a little bit. Today marks 3 months after my interview. In 2 days, 4 months will have passed since my test. And it’s over 2 months since decision made. And no oath invite yet. I’m annoyed by this today.

That sucks.

Currently, there is a backlog for oath. 3 - 5 months from the date you took the test is the consensus for a ballpark timeline but it could take longer.

Hope you see some progress soon.

My test was done on March 4, 2021...

I finally received the oath invite on July 6th, 2021. The oath ceremony has been scheduled for July 19th 2021.

For all those waiting for the invite: I first received the email and a phone call followed after a couple of hours, which I missed. I called them back and they confirmed if I had received the invite, my mailing address if I was comfortable using Zoom & e-Sign.
