Hi @legalfalcon

How long does it take for IRCC to reject/refuse an application? Is it possible that an application can get rejected or refused after waiting for over 1 year? I haven’t got any update from IRCC and I am a bit worried.

AOR October 2020
Applied for GCMS notes since November 6th and no update yet.
An application can be rejected at any stage, though rejections decrease considerably after eligibility is passed. However, inadmissibility based on security and HIRV are factors that can lead to rejection.

We did our upfront medicals in October and sent it via a webform but dint see any update. In December, we got a re-medical request. We sent our upfront medicals again and informed our medical centre about it so they sent them a mail to link the two. No update till now. It only says your action is required. It's almost going to be a month. Extremely worried. What do we do. @legalfalcon
If you did your re-meds on your own without IRCC asking, it can take months for the to be updated.

When IRCC send a re-med request, they send a IME number which i used by the panel physician to upload your meds and this number is associated with your application, which enables the meds to be updated.

When you do your re-meds on your own, a random IME is generated and it has to be attached to your file manually by IRCC.

Thank you! So you suggest I don't raise a webform again?

Hello everyone!
AOR - December 2019

I can really use some support. I applied for PR through BC PNP EXPRESS ENTRY program in December 2019. I as a married Primary applicant and my wife as a dependent who lives in India and holds no permit or Visa of any kind to Canada. It's been two years and there is no update on my application last update was medical passed in January 2020 and we have submitted our bio metrics in March 2020 after request.
My GCMS notes says July 2020 - Spouse/dependent outside canada and due to Covid cannot process the application.

My BOWP is expiring in a month. I am reapplying my BOWP should I also try my spouse Open work permit application with mine? Also her Visitor visa got refused in March 2019 and spouse open work permit got refused in July 2019 (because officer didnt care to verify my job he said it's not a NOC B category) and I tried contacting IRCC left them webforms about my application and they really dont give a fuck. I kept a lot patience over the years what should I do ?

Is there anyone in similar situation who was here on study permit and now on work applied for PR and spouse lives in home country and holds no visa. You both are waiting for PR approval ?

For TRV each application is processed for each individual unless it was filed as a group.

Hi,
My AOR- 30 October 2019 ( my wife primary applicant)
PPR-18 Jan 2020 ( Primary applicant and single)( we did not sent passport for further process and informed ircc about marriage plan)
Marriage- 10th Feb 2020
Spouse added- 15 March 2020
Husband( Myself)- Biometrics added 2nd march 2021 and medical- 14 March 2021
After that yesterday ( 10th Jan 2022)- background status changed to- Not Applicable.

Is background status changed to " Not applicable " is any major sign of good news for both of us?

Regards,

Hi @legalfalcon sir,
I have few small queries, why LVOs like NDVO are not sending any PPR while Ottawa and Sydney are continuously releasing PPRs?
My AOR is oct 2019 and as per GCMS notes my application was approved in March 2020 and it has been almost 2 years without single update on my application not even re-medical or extension of medical. File is untouched since march 2020 as per latest GCMS notes. Under these circumstances do you think mandamus might be helpful in my case?

Mandamus is a judicial remedy and a lawyer will have to evaluate your case to provide you with an opinion on whether it would be the right approach for your case.

Lately, a lot of people have been discussing the mandamus without knowing what it really is.

Hi @legalfalcon

As per my GCMS Notes, dated Oct' 2021 ..........
Eligibility+Criminality+Medicals - all are passed.
Info-Sharing + RPRF -
Complete
Required Funds - Met
Security - Not Started
As per GCMS Recommendations
(Oct'2021) - Ready to Finalize

I got a GU on 8th Jan'22, after that, my background status changed from, “We are processing your background check. we will send you a message if we need more information." TO "Not Applicable." What does it mean? IP2 complete.
