I am an Electronics Engineer with my masters in Project management. I have never worked in sensitive areas like pure military, nor i am trained in explosives, nuclear technology, intelligence etc. My organization is civilian government engineering organization. But i guess they had put me in enhanced security. When do you think i should order my CBSA notes? I will use your services now, previously my friend ordered for me.
My security started on 1st April 2020.
My AOR is 20th Oct.
I got ADRs on 11 March 2020. 1) Schedule-A ... (2) CV (3) Grad Kit (4) Travel History Form....

After this on 09 September 2020 I got remedical request.. Is this sign of completion of my Security Screening??
On 01 November 2020, I got married and my wife is US national, updated IRCC about it they send some ADRs again for my wife, I submitted all documents.
On 16 April 2021 I got another letter in my portal that my wife need to do biometric in US, that is also submitted now..
Whats next ?
Her security is complete or not?
Should i order GCMS or CBSA/CSIS notes?

Expert reply will be appreciated... Please look at my signature also...

Hi guys, quick question, I got my COPR on March 19th, one day after the closure date. Now in my country of residence I was offered to get Citizenship. If I accept it, does it affect my COPR status? I am a permanent resident here so not sure if its ok or would hurt my COPR. Please anyone that knows help me with some advice. Thanks!

Dear @legalfalcon @caipsnotes
Hope this finds you in good health.
If you can spare time, pls reply as I seek your guidance on the following:
I am an EE-PNP PR applicant with my spouse as dependent applicant. I received Ontario PNP under a specific NOC code and subsequently applied for PR. As per old GCMS notes, I have passed all stages but final decision is yet to be made and PR processing is stuck due to COVID.
I want to know the impact on this PR application which is under progress, if I apply for student visa for admission into University which is in a different province than Ontario.
If I apply for Student Visa for studying in this other province , will it hamper my Ontario PNP PR application? Will I need to decline PNP or PR application?
Is it better that Dependent spouse apply for Student Visa and I go with Spouse work permit ?

See #5,143

It will have no impact as long as you do not intend to study in Quebec. Even if you want to study in Quebec, you will have to show your intend to settle outside Quebec after your education.

See the following case that deals exactly with this issue:

Dhaliwal v. Canada (Citizenship and Immigration), 2016 FC 131 (CanLII)

Received AoR in Oct 2019. Applying from US. CPC-Ottawa. Waiting for CoPR.

Ordered GCMS notes. On last page there are 2 main comments:

1. Nov 27, 2019: Agent Review: Police Certificates R10 OK; no A36 concerns evident. Criminality Decision Passed.
2. OFFICER REVIEW updated Mar 25th , 2020: "File reviewed. Eligibility passed, criminality passed. All requirements met. Approved."

Questions about GCMS notes:
- They asked me for updated Additonal Family Information form on Mar 20th 2020. Provided promptly and notes state that they received it on Mar 25 2020. Tips to confirm if they reviewed the Additonal Family Information form?
- Provided biometrics in Nov 2019. Under INFO SHARING section, there is an update in Mar 2020 where biometrics status changes from NRT (No Record Trace). How to confirm if my biometrics was accepted?

There is no update or movement in the application in the notes anywhere in GCMS notes or CIC after April 2020. What are my next steps? Anyone I can call/email/text to push things along? Is it normal for processing to take so long?

Would really appreciate if folks can share their experiences or what worked for them.

Additional Info: Under FINALIZE APPLICATION section, DOCUMENT ISSUANCE, there is an entry for COPR with Status: Not Started

Did anyone inland is still waiting here? am i the only one left?
Hi Andrei92,
You are not alone. I am in the same boat. I also have a friend who applied in Feb 2020 and in the same situation; Application is approved since July from Edmonton office, a COPR is issued and cancelled in GCMS and nothing since then.
I recently sent an email to the Minister and I got the same useless reply with no further explanation.

In your application assignment section, to which code was your application assigned to? Mine was assigned to JK8657 until approval. after that it is empty.

OH MY F***NG GOD. It is word to word my situation. it's in Edmonton, COPR was issued in July and canceled. and my officer is JK8657. Should we submit a formal group claim? Like it's too many coincidence there.

BTW i did wrote to minister as well couple weeks ago, but seems like i will get the same general reply. Also i just received new batch of GCMS and there's no differences between this one and last one i get in December, which means there's no any single movement since then.

Please keep me in touch
