Hello Everyone,

I’m a bit concerned. Is it okay for your application to be sent to another country to continue its processing? Or is this an error on CIC’s part?

The message reads -

This message is being sent to confirm that the Application for Permanent Residence for your relative(s) has been forwarded to the visa office in Mexico for further processing.

Any assistance with my concern will be greatly appreciated.

If your application pertains to a Latin American country it is entirely possible that it could get sent to Mexico. Especially if your application is Outland Cuban.

That’s what baffles me, I’m actually from the English speaking Caribbean.

The Mexico VO processes all of Central America and some parts of the Caribbean too. (Outland applications) Nothing to be worried about. It is a positive step.

Hi Everyone,I just joined in this group.
Submitted sposue PR outland application .He is in south Africa permanent resident and Indian citizen.
These are our timelines

1. We received your application for permanent residence on October 30, 2018.
2. We sent you medical instructions on December 31, 2018.
3. We sent you correspondence on January 2, 2019.
4. Decision made on sponsorship eligible on January 3,2019.
5. Medical results have been received.
6. We sent you correspondence on February 15, 2019.In this CIC asked extra marriage photos.

I have couple of questions
1) we cannot able to link our GCkey to the application - is this is expected. Because i read lots of post that their application went to different countries.am just relying on ECAS only and can't get any details other than above mentioned and In-process only
2)Asking extra marriage pictures is a positive or negative sign?
3)After this how long is the process still
4)Also we submitted visiting visa a month ago and no update about it.

Sorry for the late reply. I had the request for additional photos. It's not exactly negative, but it usually delays the process by a month. My 30 day deadline crossed on Wednesday and we now have decision made on eCAS for PA today. Hoping for PPR soon.

My file is transferred to New Delhi on 4th Jan, Didn't receive any update till now. No medicals/bio-metrics request and the background status is still not started.

Is anyone's file transferred to New Delhi?

Please some one suggest what to do? As silence is killing..

If PA is an Indian citizen he/she doesn't need to give biometrics if he/she submitted his/her application before 01.01 2019. As for medical request you might get it soon.. Just a little bit of patience. New Dellhi VO is one of the biggest and busiest VOs

I got couple of updates. 28th of Feb I received Biometrics letter and 1st March I received Medical Examination request.
Ecas says decision made under sponsorship column but I haven't received any email from them.
Probably have to call IRCC on Monday.

If you’re the Principal Applicant, you won’t receive that email. The Sponsor will, have your partner check his/her email
