Hi,

I've sent my PR and OWP Apps on October 31st, received by CIC on Novemver 1st and currently waiting for AOR. However I think I submitted the wrong payment for the OWP. Everyone in here seems to have sent $255 (not certain how this amount is added up) however Ive only sent $185 (Open Work Permit holder $100 and $85 for biometrics). Is it worth calling CIc and amend the payment somehow or will they return the whole application package for both PR and OWP??

It's $100 for the work permit + $155 for "open work permit holder," bringing the total to $255. There's a chance they'll take what you owe for the OWP from the right of permanent residence fee (if you paid it up front). This, however, is not a given. Often (usually?) OWPs are returned due to underpayment.

The good news though is that your PR application won't be returned due to OWP underpayment. So... see if you can amend what you owe somehow, or hope they take what you owe from your permanent residence fee. Good luck.

Thank you, so that means I should have paid $340 in total.

Is it worth trying to contact them even though I dont have a reference number apart whats on the payment slip?

Received my AOR today via email :D

I found her FB post. She says she is a September applicant but I found her previous post saying she is an Aug 22 applicant. Not sure why she is changing her timeline but regardless, it doesn't matter because lots of Aug 29-31 applicants got their Medical Requests this morning.
probably because her sent her app on aug 22 and got aor on sept. anyways its speeding up ... we will receive MR very soon i assume

I did, however on the FB group they are saying that I shouldn't have as Biometrics in Canada are not active yet. However it clearly stated on the payment site that if you are from a european country like Germany you must give biometrics and it will go active from january 2019.

If you are applying inland you do not need to provide biometric upfront.

The $255 plus $85 for Biometrics. Applicants with some european passports need to give biometrics (and i fall under that category)

Late reply, but maybe still useful... Ah, I see where you're coming up with that number now. Note the posts above, which are stating that inland applications don't need biometrics. I'm not sure if this applies to OWPs too. Biometrics didn't apply to my country of origin (and I'm inland), so I didn't worry about it and thus can't say with any certainty what's the case for you.

What I can say is to not pay again for the things you've already paid for. Just take care of the fee you haven't covered yet. No need to overpay!

If you've already taken care of all of this, great. If you can let us know how you resolved your situation, that would be super helpful. Thanks.
