I hear you AMBriers. My husband has a really good job offer that expires January 31That's awesome news, congrats!
I'm still waiting for the eligibility review to start. Getting kind of nervous now. I really need it to be approved by Feb 1st

That sucks. I really hope you are fortunate. I have a leave of absence that was permitted from November 8th and ends on Feb 9th. The company said they'd check with me on the 1st to see if there's any news, and as the physical copy takes about a week to arrive, I need to have it accepted by the 1st to definitely have the physical copy (for the SIN) by the 9th. Stressful to say the least. Seems most people who applied the first week of October have theirs now so it's making me think something could be wrong...or I'm just at the back of the queue. time will tell I guess.I hear you AMBriers. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason. I know that the September 2018 inland group I am following are over 90% complete. I'm sure we will be soon; but will we be soon enough? That sucks. Is this eligibility for owp or sponsorship to get the owp? Just out of curiosity for what to look for pleaseThank you!! I have a feeling that once eligiblitt starts you will get approval in less than 24 hours! Hang in there and good luck!!
Background check started today! Anyone know approximately how long it will take? I am seeing a lot of 1-2 months on other forums.

If you have an urgency, you can submit a request in web form and mark subject as Urgent Processing. But you need to give a solid explanation why your application needs to be processed urgently. Also include your job offer letter in the attachments. They might consider your request as they usually do. Hope this helps and good luck. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason. For OWP onlyIs this eligibility for owp or sponsorship to get the owp? Just out of curiosity for what to look for please
Oh ok thank you I just thought maybe they had changed the way they process as had seen a few people mention they are processing different Im glad not though as that would of took a while longer for owpFor OWP only
I have never heard of this. I was made aware that there was nothing to be done regarding the speeding up of the process. I've not yet reached 120 days (not far off though). I have documents from my employers such as employment records and a letter from my manager stamped with the company information that I sent with my original application. I also have email correspondence with the company's 'leave of absence' department saying that they will check back on Feb 1st and that my leave of absence cannot be extended beyond Feb 9th. (But I need to have it accepted by Feb 1st to allow a week for the physical document to arrive and reactivate my SIN). Would this be considered by them, and would there be enough time for them to look into it between now and Feb 1st?If you have an urgency, you can submit a request in web form and mark subject as Urgent Processing. I cannot say if they consider but you could try sending them through web form.I have never heard of this. I was made aware that there was nothing to be done regarding the speeding up of the process. Thanks for the heads up on this. I might have to resort to it.
Cheers
Okay thanks, is this under 'request urgent processing of renewal or replacement card, and have already applied' ?I cannot say if they consider but you could try sending them through web form.
