no AOR.. App received 12th Oct... if there is any error ( I am suspecting error) shouldn't I get the app returned back to me by now?

No my application was delivered on Oct 4th. I got AOR only on Dec 18th. So urs is still normal.
Also please check this link, so you have an understanding of what is going on. Dont forget to click on "October 2018" at the top to get data relevant to you.

Hi there,
Yesterday, I got an email from CIC stating that they have received my application. They will review the supporting documents and contact me if they need additional information. What does this mean? Is my application NOT complete at this stage? By the way, my application was delivered October 11, 2018.Is this email is called AOR?
Also, we provided our IELTS (GT) test score even though it was expired. I heard that the score will be accepted even if they are expired. Now, as I read the email further, I see that it says "all applicants between 18 to 54 must meet language requirements.If this includes you then you will need to demonstrate basic English communication competence". Does it mean that my IELTS score has not been accepted?
