Yes I am in IP2 since AOR.
For all or most applicants required to give Biometrics, as per this forum, it shows IP2 initially.
Some got changed to IP1 few days after medicals but mine is same since AOR

@muz , ok that's different from my case since my status changed to IP2 a week ago ( first week of dec). but I don't need to give my biometrics. I'm under PNP-Manitoba out land, AOR - Oct 2, MEP Nov 3.

They do mean that they are looking at your profile and sometimes change of status from IP1 to IP2.
