My status changed from IP1 to IP2 on 9th November

No, not yet; however, my status has been changed to medical passed just 4 days ago. So, I guess, I would have to wait till the background check is in process.

How you came to know your status is now IP2? Is it shown IP1 and now IP2?

No, it doesn't show in the account. If, you however google what is IP1 or IP2, it can help you to know what stage is your file in as per status in your account.

As far as I know

IP1:- We do not need medical/ We do not need background check
IP2:- Medical Passed/ We are processing your background check.
