Hello! Do you know if the medical expiry can trigger the application process? I heard from another group that it sometimes triggers the proess.

Hi All, those who have received passport requests / completed the VISA process, can you please let me know how long did your background verification took?

My application is in processing since 8 months and they have started the background verification one month ago.

Thanks

Talked to a support agent just now and I feel like I'm being gaslighted.
A few weeks ago, Ralph's office told me that my medicals had been extended, now they say there's no extension here.
Couple of weeks ago they said my security checks had begun, but now they say my security is "Not Started".
Don't really know what to make of it. It's all a farce.

Anyhow, so many October people receiving PPR's, it's a great thing to see movement finally.

Guys....
Just got an ghost update... & the medical status is changed from "You passed the medical on 2 Nov'18" to " You do not need a medical exam".

Is ghost update a part of medical extension or both things are separate...!!!

I saw the same exact thing when I logged in today and found a ghost update.

The medical status changed from "You passed the medical on 2 Nov'18" to " You do not need a medical exam".

Only you and I are left in immitracker with AOR Oct 5. Here's to hoping we are closer to PPR!!! :)

thanks all for ur support.. my shoulders feel lighter today...not that my life is not shitty but at least it a bit less shittier today...i had left my job just before my PR application and was in total depression being jobless and almost everything was in RR ( unable to confirm job , noc not consistent, RR even for funds) my life was so gloomy that i did not even wish to live any more...sorry for spreading melancholy...all i can say to all those who haven't received ppr is that if i can receive it despite all these RRs you definitely will...my agent was such a bozzo he didnt evn upload my salary slips ...after getting my gcms i freaked out and proactively sent new updated reference info of all my bossses and company and all my salary slips...anyway ...enough of that..i pray that everyone here who has been waiting since almost an year gets their pprs...i am actually heading to nearest vfs office to submit my passport...

CONGRATS!!! So awesome to hear this.

My medical was due to expire on 31st Aug'19.
but saw my medical status changed today (4 days prior)... that too accompanied by a ghost update.

Our medical expired on Aug 27th. On our profile, before the ghost update it said we passed the medical on Nov 2, 2018. After the the ghost update, it says, You do not need a medical exam.

There is nothing we can do to expedite our application... Only IRCC can do it.

The only thing we can do is to raise GCMS notes which is the only means to get detailed information about current status of our file... Or you can get some information on call from agents.

All the best.
thanks for your kind words. i will order GCMS noted today
