Got my GCMS notes last night. Some help needed.
Is this update valid? The label says "entered in error".
What does the Secondary Office do?
Bump.
@SithLord , @MintyUK , @legalfalcon , @Immigration_guru please take a look at this.

It is what I am trying to say. NOC has nothing to do with the processing of applications.I am a mech/civil engineer and my application is through all stages. While it is possible that there is some NOC based bias, it clearly doesn't affect everyone.
Based on a quick search for other applicants with GCMS notes "entered in error" it looks like most of them have a new note afterwards including a correction. Is there any other note after this one?
That is a load of BS.Just had a word with someone in Canada with links in immigration office..
Acc to him..
IRCC is processing 1800 applications per day.. including study visas n all .. and issuing PPR as per economical requirements i.e NOC wise.. mostly.. hence files are in queue for a review by visa officer.. those occupations highly in demand gets PPR even in 100 days.. so wait guys.. nothing can be done.. don’t panic..
I did everything.. but no positive response.. mine is eligibility met and i am not saying that they will refuse the application because of requirements as per NOC.. all i am talking about is priority.. that they give priority to some NOCs.. above certain NOCs.. everyone here will get PPR.. sooner or later.. but discussion here is regarding waiting not about redusals or approvals..Some cases are note touched because of the backlog and whether application was looked by case analyst. In fact, I am mechanical engineer and my file was looked at.
I wrote my previous message to put some attention to the fact that provided info is not backed up with any evidence or official statements and might lead to confusion.
At what stage is your application? Have you called, raised a query or ordered GCMS notes.
Chill guys.. this portal is to share info.. not to argue.. just shared the info which i got and the source was reliable.. rest it’s on you to accept this info or not.. no one is forcing you ... so relax..That is a load of BS.
I can give you a very straightforward example: My colleague has the exact same NOC as I do; and not even NOC - the title is the same. His AOR is 2 weeks earlier than mine. He got PPR on February 26th - 4 months after AOR. Seems like our NOC is in a high demand, right? Then why I am almost 7 months in the process and my file wasn't even touched till 6 months passed?
I am sorry. Maybe my answer should have been more polite.Chill guys.. this portal is to share info.. not to argue.. just shared the info which i got and the source was reliable.. rest it’s on you to accept this info or not.. no one is forcing you ... so relax..
If your eligibility is met it means that somebody has looked at your profile while mine was intact until 3 or 4 days before the estimated competition date. And the reason why now they not touching your file is not your NOC.I did everything.. but no positive response.. mine is eligibility met and i am not saying that they will refuse the application because of requirements as per NOC.. all i am talking about is priority.. that they give priority to some NOCs.. above certain NOCs.. everyone here will get PPR.. sooner or later.. but discussion here is regarding waiting not about redusals or approvals..
I have been working as an engineer in Canada for 7 years now, still currently employed, partner just graduated Canadian university also as an engineer, our application is CEC Inland and we are both from visa-exempt countries. You would think our case is simple and processing should be fast, but here we are still waiting 8 months later! It seems to be a common story that Visa-exempt inland applicants are actually having to wait months longer than everyone else because IRCC is scheduling CoPR interviews for us instead of sending PPR. The catch is that the interview queue is 3 months long, so instead of "application approved" -> PPR, we get "application approved" -> 3 months waiting -> interview & CoPRI am sorry. Maybe my answer should have been more polite.
The example I gave supports the argument that the processing of any application is governed by the immigration law. As far as I know, there is nothing in that law that would allow prioritizing based on the NOC.
If economic need had been the case, then CEC applicants who are currently employed would have had the fastest processing
Sorry, but the tone of your message was like you know for sure that NOC defines the speed what is not true. Additionally, you mentioned that your friend is of the Canadian officials. Combining these two things, info which you provided can lead to the confusion of current and/or future applicants.Chill guys.. this portal is to share info.. not to argue.. just shared the info which i got and the source was reliable.. rest it’s on you to accept this info or not.. no one is forcing you ... so relax..
How long did it take to get a reply from them?I raised CSE and got reply back that my file is now moved to etobicoke local visa office and they will contact for furthur steps within 6 weeks.
Yes there were two notes after this one, but they seem to be redacted in my GCMS notes.Based on a quick search for other applicants with GCMS notes "entered in error" it looks like most of them have a new note afterwards including a correction. Is there any other note after this one?
In our case we really hope so, since we've attached some documents (job offer) that we hope could make a difference. But if we didn't have anything and were just checking in, my impression is that it is the same as calling. Maybe someone else knows exactly the difference...Genuine question here - are CSEs ever really useful? Every response I have read seems to be one out of two possible generic responses:
1) Basically "your application is in progress, we can't tell you when it will be done, there is nothing you need to do except wait"
2) Basically "your application requires additional review so normal processing times do not apply, we can't tell you when it will be done, there is nothing you need to do except wait"
First one tells you literally nothing, except maybe that you are not under eligibility "review required". Second one tells you that you might have eligibility "review required". Can't you get this info (and way more detail) from a call centre agent, without waiting 1-2 weeks?
