I have usually been told that security only starts after eligibility is passed. so your eligibility is passed?
Yup, wrote about it couple of days back. Eligibility and criminality have been passed, security is in progress - that's what the agent told me :)
I think it's just fine, but the magic word "security" makes me feel extremely nervous.

Yes, so security in progress means SS.
If you want to know what is going on in SS you can check that by ordering CBSA and CSIS notes. The processing time at this stage totally varies, some applicants clear this stage in a month or so, and some cross the mark of 6 months in this stage only.

Please keep it simple , Security in progress does not mean SS.
If you are really in SS you can only know thro your GCMS notes.
Call agent or CSE reply doesnt reaveal anyway that you are under SS.

Gcms will not reveal anything about Security, CBSA notes will

GCMS and CBSA notes are same, but in GCMS security related information is retracted
